TREZEVANT CELEBRATES EASTER, SOCIAL DISTANCING STYLE

(Memphis, TN) – Trezevant, a senior living community located at 177 North Highland, found a way for its residents to honor the Easter holiday while maintaining social distancing guidelines. On Holy Saturday, Trezevant covered a cross in flowers. The flowers were given by the loved ones of residents who, due to the COVID-19 crisis, are unable to visit with family members living at Trezevant at this time. Friends and family members of residents provided flowers for the cross from their yards, florist or grocery and delivered them to buckets that lined the Waynoka gate of the 15-acre retirement community. Trezevant residents and staff then took turns in Hope’s Garden placing a flower on the cross until it was fully adorned in honor of the holiday.

“This year’s Easter was unlike any we could have ever imagined,” said Libby King, Director of Marketing and Sales for Trezevant. “Decorating the cross at a safe, social distance gave us all a glimpse of God’s love and grace in the center of our community.”

Trezevant hopes to make this an annual tradition.
