The Opportunity

The Infrastructure Systems Engineer provides support and contributes to the development, configuration, and troubleshooting of software, hardware, technology, and user devices as well as their overall reliable infrastructure operations. They participate in application deployments, infrastructure upgrades, and enhancements to direct implementation steps and guarantee component compatibility. They offer coaching to team members with less experience. During service disruptions, they lead root cause analysis and service restoration, and they collaborate with other technical experts and solution owners to ensure long-term resolution.

In This Role You Will

  • Operate independently to support information technology initiatives through the lifecycle of enterprise applications. 
  • Act as technical lead and systems liaison on technology projects and other initiatives. 
  • Administer virtualization technology in a VMware environment. 
  • Provide technical leadership during incidents (outages), and regular maintenance activities. 
  • Deploy and maintain enterprise class hardware, Microsoft server operating systems and enterprise applications, services, and protocols within an enterprise environment. 
  • Design, implement, and manage Windows Active Directory domains, sites, users, groups, policies, replication topology, schema, logons scripts, and profiles. 
  • Deploy and oversee a diverse set of services including Group Policy, SQL management, MS Clustering, IIS, Antivirus, backup and recovery, security applications, etc.
  • Implement integrations with 3rd party SaaS
  • Implement and manage external SAN and NAS storage arrays. 
  • Design, implement and operate enterprise backup and recovery.
  • Other duties as assigned. 

The Experience You Will Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Science, Business, or related field or equivalent experience.
  • Five (5) to eight (8) years’ related functional experience.
  • At least five (5) years’ experience managing and maintaining cloud applications and resources such as Azure Active Directory/Entra ID (AAD), O365 suite, Exchange in a hybrid environment, enterprise registrations, and Azure foundational resources (subscriptions, resource groups, access control, etc.). 
  • In-depth knowledge and experience with all types of operating systems, HW, SW, desktop, and mobile devices.
  • Expertise in troubleshooting systems administration aspects of production incidents and resolution protocols.
  • Familiarity with creating concise, professional, and easily consumable documentation. 
  • Excellent communication skills, effective with varying organizational levels and skill sets.
  • Excellent relationship management and collaboration skills, with a proven track record of working as one team cross-organizationally to drive innovation and business results.
  • Experience with implementing and administrating Privileged Access Management Systems.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to work on-site during regular business hours, evenings, weekends, and/or holidays as needed.

Nice to Have:

  •  Relevant professional certifications, such as Azure, Microsoft, and/or VMWare, are preferred.
