Starting on Tuesday March 27th, I’ll be kicking off a perpetual behavior called “Tuesday Happy Hour”. For those of you that choose to make this a part of your week with me, I welcome you.
Quick Disclaimer – if you refuse to do cold calling as a prospecting activity or claim you don’t have to, to grow your business, then stop reading. This is not for you.
The concept is simple: dedicate one hour of entrenched activity to the calendar every Tuesday from 10-11am CST to proactively make cold calls to ideal prospects. The idea is when you lay your head down to sleep on Tuesday night, you’ll positively know you did something to grow your business that day. I am going to track and report progress at year’s end. Metrics to be tracked:
Dials
Unique Conversations
No’s
Appointments Set
Referrals
The “Why” of this behavior is to stare something in the face that most don’t like doing (cold calls) and just do it. So here we go.
If you’d like to join me, I’ll start the Happy Hour conference call @ 9:50am and we’ll get ourselves ready for the hour. From 10:00-11:00am we dial, and track metrics, individually. From 11:00-11:10am, we hop back on the conference call to report results, victories, etc.
Quick caveats:
Don’t accept the invite if this doesn’t interest you
I will only cancel the hour if a holiday or traveling interferes
