Move It Memphis 5K/10K 2015
Event Description:
ATTENTION: Due to icy conditions in Downtown Memphis, the 2015 Move It Memphis 5k & 10K has been canceled as well as packet pickup on Friday, March 6, 2015.
The Greater Memphis Chamber, Start2Finish Event Management and city officials have concluded that it is unsafe for participants to run the race as scheduled. We apologize for any inconveniences and appreciate your understanding that this decision was made in the interest of the safety of all runners and volunteers.
Participants can pick up their race bib and t-shirt at the Greater Memphis Chamber office starting Tuesday, March 10 between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. The office is located at 22 N. Front Street in Downtown Memphis.
We would like to thank you for registering for Move It Memphis and apologize for the inconvenience. We would like to offer registered participants of Move It Memphis a discount for two other local races that you can participate in later this spring. The Chamber will pay $5 toward your registration of the FedEx St. Jude Classic Fairway 5k or $10 toward your registration of the Bluff City 10k. Please email s2finfo@s2fevents.com with the subject line "Move It Memphis Discount" in order to receive the discount code.

Join us March 7th, 2015, for the 7th Annual Move it Memphis 5k/10k. All proceeds benefit the Greater Memphis Chamber. Entrants can either mail in their registration forms or register online by clicking here. Mail-in registration forms should be filled out and returned with payment. Online registration closes on March 5, 2015 at midnight CST, and mail-in registration closes on February 28, 2015 at midnight CST.

For beginners and avid runners alike, these challenging 5k and 10k courses offer the sights, sounds, and rhythm only downtown Memphis can offer. Tour the city on foot, beginning at FedExForum in Downtown Memphis. While running is its own reward, we'll also tempt every runner with a free t-shirt and goody bag featuring gifts and special offers from our Chamber member businesses. Check-in will be in the FedExForum lobby. After the race, stay and play on Beale Street as we party with music, tasty food, and refreshing drinks, followed by an award ceremony for our fastest runners in a variety of categories and levels - it's fun for the whole family!

Our runners are dedicated, but they can't do it without a little help. We are looking for some energetic volunteers and course workers to help with registration, offer water, provide direction, and yell encouragement as our entrants test their endurance. Can't make race day? Volunteer to work at one of our pre-registration and packet pickup locations around the greater Memphis area. It's a great way to introduce yourself and your business to the running community in Memphis. The Move It Memphis race is also an awesome opportunity to meet Memphis residents and runners, network with member businesses, and soak up the wonderful Downtown Memphis rhythm.
