Wilson Public Relations Expands, Promotes from Within

MEMPHIS, Tennessee, August 3, 2022 – Wilson Public Relations, a boutique public relations firm serving local and international clients, today announced Audrey Shelton has been promoted to PR Account Executive. The agency has also welcomed Sophie Townsend as Junior PR Coordinator.
Shelton joined Wilson Public Relations in August 2021 as a PR Coordinator. Her background in a variety of industries, including education, nonprofit, and corporate communications, lends itself to a diverse range of clients. In her new role, she manages social media and media outreach efforts of the firm, in addition to supporting Chief PR Officer Beth Wilson on client projects. She holds a bachelor's degree in public relations from Middle Tennessee State University and earned her master’s degree from the University of Memphis.
"Audrey's determination, business acumen, and work ethic have been invaluable as we have expanded our client base and service offerings over the last year and a half," said Wilson. "I'm thrilled to have Audrey take on this new role, as it's one she has already taken in stride, and look forward to her continued success on behalf of our clients."
As Junior PR Coordinator, Townsend supports day-to-day operations of the agency. She assists with social media curation, PR strategy, and content development. Townsend will graduate from the University of Memphis Department of Journalism and Strategic Media with a bachelor's degree in public relations in May 2023. Her education and extensive administrative experience have proven to be vital assets to the growing firm.
