The 2024 Women-Owned Passport Goes Live with Giveaways and Deals

17 Women-Owned Shops Partner to Encourage Memphis to Shop Local and Women-Owned

Memphis, TN: The Women-Owned Passport is back! The 2024 passport features 17 women-owned retail businesses in Memphis who have come together to raise awareness about their stores and to encourage Memphians to shop local, women-owned businesses for the holidays. Physical passports hit the shops on Oct. 1 and feature an opportunity to win one of three grand prizes worth over $300 by earning stamps in all the participating shops. The stores will also offer special rewards and deals starting November 1. 

The participating shops include Avenue Wrapping, Blue Suede Vintage, Boshi Botanicals, Everbloom Design, Five in One Social Club, Mbabazi House of Style, Midtown Bramble & Bloom, Mili’s Flowers & Gifts, Mrs. Post, Paradox at PeCo, Penn Home & Design Co., Planeta777, Second Kiss Vintage, Snapdragon Floral, Stitching Supply, TCBN Co., and Whitney Winkler Art.

The Women-Owned Passport is an initiative that was first launched in 2023 as a way for women-owned retail businesses in Memphis to help raise awareness about and drive traffic to women-owned retail stores across the city during the holidays. In the first year, 3,400 passports were handed out and the initiative was so popular that some Memphians gathered groups of friends and planned days to hit each of the shops together.

The 2024 Women-Owned Passport will be available in participating stores starting October 1, 2024. Each store will offer special discounts and deals valid from November 1- December 31, 2024. Shoppers will also have an opportunity to win a grand prize by visiting and getting stamps from all of the businesses on the passport. 

There are three easy ways to get a passport stamp. Participants may pick one or do all three!

• Visit a participating business and make a purchase. Each business will offer an additional gift or incentive with a qualifying purchase starting Nov. 1. 
• Post about and tag a participating business on social media and show it to that business. 
• ??Leave a Google review about a participating business and show it to that business

?Once a participant has received all of their stamps, they can turn in the passport with their contact information to the business they last visited to be entered in the Grand Prize drawing. No purchase is necessary to be entered in the drawing. The last day to turn in completed passports is December 31, 2024. Three grand prize winners will be picked at random and announced on Jan. 13, 2025. 

The Women-Owned Passport is part of a greater collective of women-owned retail businesses who provide a sounding board and support to each other as they tackle challenges unique to retail in Memphis. Rather than seeing each other as additional competition, the women participating in the Passport look to each other for camaraderie, emotional support, and help encouraging people to shop local and women-owned.
