Online LIVE Synchronous at Briarcrest during COVID 19

All of our students began online learning Monday. Our teachers have webpages with instructional videos they have created along with other resources. Classroom teachers are creating lessons that engage students similar to being in school. We are incredibly proud of our teachers, students and parents for embracing online learning during this challenging time!

Elementary students are engaged in online learning where instruction is being delivered through teacher created videos. Students also have activities on the teacher webpages to practice the skills and concepts being taught. Our teachers are available by email and other forms of communication, which are posted to their webpages. While teachers have set office hours, they are answering emails and communicating with students and parents throughout the day. Our specialty teachers in elementary are posting video lessons once a week, some more frequently, for every age level. PLUS, Passport, ESS and other programs are also engaging with students and parents to continue to support learning.

BCS students 5th-12th grade have school issued MacBook Air computers. They have been participating in online learning since Monday and 6th-12th began distance learning, LIVE TEACHING, today. Fifth grade will join tomorrow. The teachers are teaching live and students have joined in the class to be able to actively ask questions, be called upon to answer questions and engage in discussions. This is critical for our students to learn in a “more connected” environment. Our IT Team is answering emails and troubleshooting any issues with rapid speed!
