Junior League of Memphis Offers Innovative Teaching Grants for Local Educators
Applications are due Friday, November 1, 2024.
(MEMPHIS, Tenn. – October 28, 2024) – The Junior League of Memphis (JLM) is inviting local educators to apply for the Innovative Teaching Grants. Teachers have until Friday, November 1, 2024, to submit their proposals for a chance to receive funding for creative and impactful classroom projects.
The Innovative Teaching Grants program is a JLM project designed to improve the quality of life for children by encouraging and supporting excellence in teaching. The grants will enable teachers to implement original and creative learning experiences beyond the curriculum allocated through school budgets.
The program awards grants of up to $2,500 to Pre-K-12th grade teachers in the Memphis metro area. Past grant recipients are eligible to apply during the 2024-2025 grant cycle.
“The Junior League of Memphis is committed to fostering educational innovation and supporting teachers who strive to make a difference in their students’ lives,” said JLM President Lori Evans. “We are happy to continuously provide this program for our educators to make a lasting impact on our youth inside the classroom.”
This year’s theme is “Education Ignites Innovation.” The focus of 2024-2025 grants will be providing excellent academic and social/emotional instruction.
