(Memphis, TN) - Junior Achievement of Memphis and the Mid-South recently hired Dorian Hines as community engagement manager and Alexa Dell as program manager. Junior Achievement empowers youth through financial literacy, work readiness, and entrepreneurship education.
As community engagement manager, Dorian will manage outreach for all of JA’s programs and activities for year-round, strategic involvement from JA partners and the community at large. In this role, he will recruit and manage volunteers and will leverage technology to measure engagement impact. Originally from Shelby, NC, Dorian earned his undergraduate degree in journalism and mass communications with a minor in business entrepreneurship from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University. He went on to earn his Master of Public Administration (MPA) from Auburn University. His previous experience includes a marketing internship for the Greensboro Salvation Army Boys and Girls Club and a variety of roles in the food and beverage industry. When he's not working, Dorian enjoys exercising, trying new restaurants, and spending time with friends and family.
As program manager, Alexa will work in tandem with local educators to provide access and support for Junior Achievement's curriculum and educational programs, all of which are designed to help K-12 students become world-ready. She is a firm believer in the power of education, equity and positive change. In her spare time, Alexa enjoys spending time with family and baking desserts.
"We are so grateful to have Dorian and Alexa on board," says Leigh Mansberg, CEO of Junior Achievement of Memphis and the Mid-South. "Their desire to help create meaningful learning opportunities for local students makes them both an excellent fit for our impactful and growing team."
