Eclectic Eye expands to hire new optometrist

Memphis, Tenn., February 24, 2021 – Eclectic Eye, a Memphis destination for optometry services and eyewear needs, has hired Kristin Fonseca, O.D. as an optometrist. Dr. Fonseca will report to Dr. Mike Weinberg, primary optometrist and co-owner of Eclectic Eye. 

“We are excited to welcome Dr. Fonseca to our team here at Eclectic Eye,” said Dr. Mike Weinberg. “With her extensive background in patient care and love for eyewear, she will serve as a valued asset to the staff and patients.”

In her role as optometrist, Dr. Fonseca is responsible for enhancing patient care through optometric examinations, including refractions, assessment of the ocular health and eyewear recommendations.

Dr. Fonseca received her Doctor of Optometry from the Southern College of Optometry and completed a one-year residency in Primary Care & Ocular Disease at The Tuscaloosa VA Medical Center affiliated with the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Prior to her residency, Dr. Fonseca completed externships at Ducklo Eyecare in Nashville and Ochsner Health Center in New Orleans. Dr. Fonseca is a member of the West TN Optometric Physicians Society and has had her work published in ElectrifEye Journal in 2019. Dr. Fonseca also received the 2014 Outstanding Clinician Award from Southern College of Optometry.
