Since 2019, Our City, Our Story has featured renowned authors whose writings relate to Metropolitan Inter-Faith Association’s (MIFA) work, including Kathy Izard, Dr. Matthew Desmond, Kiese Laymon, Elizabeth Gilbert, Stephanie Land, and David Brooks.

Attracting 500-750 attendees each year, this event is meant to serve as a catalyst for community conversation and action, to inspire attendees and supporters to unite in service, and to collaborate and advocate for change.

This year, Our City, Our Story features a luncheon and presentation entitled "Breaking the Spell of High Conflict" with Amanda Ripley, bestselling author of High Conflict: Why We Get Trapped and How We Get Out.
