Paige Walkup has over 25 years’ experience in the community advocacy and organizational management. As a communications professional, Paige is an expert in community engagement and relationship building.
Paige works extensively with corporations, nonprofits and public schools on communications and organizational management challenges to enhance their delivery systems, improve engagement and ensure that they have the tools in place to meet service delivery goals. This work includes communication plans, stakeholder engagement strategies, communication audits, organizational management assessments and training to enhance over all district performance. She has extensive experience in stakeholder engagement and works regularly with elected officials, and a wide range of community-based initiatives and agencies.
Paige served as an adjunct faculty member at the University of Memphis and Christian Brother’s University teaching both undergraduate and graduate level courses in anthropology, human studies and sociology. She led the professional development program for the Memphis Grantmaker’s Forum and the local community development association, BLDG Memphis.
Paige holds a Master’s degree in Applied Anthropology from the University of Memphis and Bachelor’s degrees in Sociology and Fine Arts from Elon University. She serves as the Co-Chair of Greater Memphis Chamber of Commerce’s Women’s Business Council, the Co-Chair of the Community Advisory Board for the University of Memphis Department of Anthropology, is a member of the Vitalant Community Leadership Council and is a regular volunteer with United Housing.
