Employees at XMC surprised 4-year-old William with a wish come true during a special celebration and scavenger hunt at their corporate headquarters in Bartlett on March 6.  Just six days later, William, his parents Scott and Amanda, and his twin brother, Jackson were en route to the “happiest place on earth” --  Walt Disney World.

The trip included round-trip airfare, tickets to the theme park for the week, lodging and Disney-themed suitcases full of gifts for the boys. The adventure was the product of the company’s 20 Days of Wishes.  Employees contributed more than $8,000 this year during this campaign.

“As a company, we value the communities we call home.  We encourage a culture of giving and are blessed with a large number of selfless and generous employees who make it happen,” said Bob Hamilton, CEO of XMC.

William is the second child XMC has sponsored through the Make-A-Wish Foundation, which has collectively granted wishes for more than 350,000 children with life-threatening conditions since its institution in 1980.  20 Days of Wishes is part of a larger initiative called XMC C.A.R.E.S., which focuses on “Creating an Atmosphere Resulting in Employee Satisfaction” within the company.  As part of the XMC C.A.R.E.S. program, employees are encouraged to find a project they are passionate about and determine the steps to take to make that project a reality.

“Make-A-Wish has been a great fit for our company,” said Ben McCaghren, President of XMC Financial Services.  “Our employees get really excited about raising money for the kids and their families, and we are thrilled to watch these wishes come true.”

XMC is the nation’s second-largest Xerox dealer and is headquartered in Memphis with locations in Jackson, Nashville and Chattanooga, Tennessee; Jonesboro and Little Rock, Arkansas; and Florence and Huntsville, Alabama.  To learn more about the print and document management solutions XMC offers, visit their website at www.xmcinc.com.
