The 30th annual Memphis Child Advocacy Center’s Annual Chefs’ Celebrity Gala is scheduled for Thursday, October 24, from 6:30 to 10:00 pm at the Holiday Inn – University of Memphis. Over 500 guests are expected to attend. Funds raised promote safety and healing for children traumatized by abuse—and prevent child sexual abuse from happening the first place. Presented by the Prentiss Foundation and other generous sponsors, the center expects to raise over $250,000. There is still time for Chamber members to promote their businesses through sponsorship or donations of goods and services.

There are a limited number of table sponsorships available. Tables are available for $3,000 per table of 10. No individual tickets are sold. Many table hosts treat clients, employees or friends to evening of fine dining and entertainment. There are other types of sponsorships available as well.

Businesses may also choose to donate gift cards, vacation packages, entertainment tickets, jewelry and other merchandise. Donations  are used in the silent auction or teddy bear surprise packages. Teddy bear surprises contain an assortment of gift cards, merchandise, concert tickets, jewelry and more.  These popular packages sell for $250 and $500 and sell out quickly.

Over 100 spirited celebrity servers, who are some of Memphis’ most philanthropic volunteers, present the special dinner to their guests. All server “tips” go to the Memphis CAC. Many table hosts choose to serve their guests. Guests will also enjoy a delicious meal, wine, and dancing to the music of the Andy Childs and his band.
