Loras College Alumni Join Forces to Expand Memphis-Based Video Production Company - News Release: 1/22/2020

 
Memphis, TN — Loras College graduates Allison Wong ’17 and Charlie Grant ’17 have joined
Forever Ready Productions, a video production company based in Memphis, Tennessee, as part
of the business’ expansion beginning in January 2020.

Forever Ready is owned by Loras alumna Lauren Ready ’08. Ready worked in television news in
Cedar Rapids, Dubuque, Omaha, and Memphis before putting down roots in Tennessee and
building her production company there in 2014. She is currently a member of the National
Alumni Board at Loras College.

“In the last three years, our team has more than doubled, and our mission-focused work puts
us in a prime position to welcome Charlie and Allison to the storytelling team,” said Ready.
“Their background in journalism along with their understanding of social responsibility only
adds to our team’s unique work.”

Wong, an on-air reporter, and Grant, a videographer, both formerly worked for KCRG-TV9 News
in Dubuque, where they covered natural disasters, a presidential visit, and local politics.

"I've grown as a storyteller in my time at KCRG, but I can't wait to expand my knowledge and
skills even more with Forever Ready. I've always admired the work this production company
puts out and it's so exciting to now join the team,” Wong said.

Their work took them across Iowa, as they partnered together at the Dubuque headquarters of
KCRG, a division of Gray Television, and to the other side of the globe. Together, they traveled
to Kosovo in 2019, where they documented the Iowa National Guard's efforts to rebuild the
country and its security force. Their work has been featured on ABC's World News Tonight.

The two will be based in Memphis while working to expand Forever Ready Productions’ services
to the Midwest.

“I can't wait to get more involved in the community and to use my skills to tell the stories of the
movers and do-ers in Memphis and beyond,” Grant said.
