Lifesigns Celebrates Medical Professionals as Part of Healthcare Quality Week

(Memphis, TN) – Each fall, the National Association for Healthcare Quality (NAHQ) celebrates Healthcare Quality Week as a dedicated time to celebrate the profession and raise awareness of the positive impact healthcare quality professionals have in their organizations and communities. This year’s observance runs from October 17-23, 2021.

“We are grateful to our team of medical professionals who help provide quality care to our patients year-round,” says Sandy Bradford, Director of Business Development for Lifesigns. “We welcome the opportunity to honor them and their dedication to continually improving patient outcomes.”

Lifesigns has been providing prevention-focused physical exams for 25+ years and continually strives to educate patients about their own health as well as the importance of having a primary care relationship.

According to the CDC, over 78% of adults 55 and over have at least one chronic health condition including arthritis, asthma, cancer, cardiovascular disease, COPD, and diabetes. However, less than half of adults have a primary care doctor.

Annual physicals are one of the best methods for understanding physical health and curtailing many health conditions before they become more serious or life-threatening. Receiving annual physicals and greater quality healthcare can result in:
  • A greater percentage of citizens participating in regular preventative, primary care and follow up visits
  • Better prevention, early detection and management of chronic illness such as diabetes and hypertension
  • Decrease in overall expenditure on pharmaceuticals
  • Decreased number of catastrophic health events
  • Enhanced health and wellness

Lifesigns also offers its mobile clinic, HealthyHere, designed to reduce cost, increase access to care, improve wellness and complete a doctor’s visit in a fraction of the time of a traditional office visit.
