Bank of America Supports Families Served by Agape

Agape Child & Family Services was recently awarded a $10,000 grant from Bank of America to assist families in danger of homelessness and support them as they gain financial stability through TeamWorks, Agape’s job readiness program. Agape walks alongside those it serves, connecting adults served by the non-profit with employment opportunities that provide a wage enabling them to leave poverty. Agape also provides a host of holistic, wraparound services that enrich one’s skill set and confidence. In addition to employment, Agape also focuses on training, education attainment, retention, and career development advancement. The goal is to promote parent/adult self-sufficiency by addressing barriers to attaining education, employment and financial empowerment.

Agape Child & Family Services is a faith-based, non-profit organization dedicated to providing children and families in Memphis with healthy homes. Agape serves nearly 8,000 children and families each year in an effort to keep them safe, smart and successful through school-based initiatives and site-based services in under-resourced communities; counseling; homeless services; adoption and foster care.
