Event Description:
WHO: The Rachel Kay Stevens Therapy  Center at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC) is hosting an art show and silent auction to raise funds for the center, display the artistic talents of its patients, and promote a “ can do” attitude within the community.
 
WHAT: The center  will be showcasing original artwork created by young people with special needs from across the Mid-South. The donated artwork will be for sale in a silent auction. All proceeds from the auction will benefit the  student-run pro bono pediatric therapy clinic.The exhibition and reception is free and open to the public. WHY: “This event will allow Mid-South children with special needs to express their creativity and share their talents while also benefitting the center, which is designed to cater to local, underserved children and their families,” said Anne Zachry, PhD, OTR/L, chair and assistant professor in the Department of Occupational Therapy at UTHSC.
