When Kevin Berthia attempted to take his own life at The Golden Gate Bridge, the only thing that stopped him was the listening ear of California Highway Patrolman Kevin Briggs. Join us at the sixth annual Dennis H. Jones Living Well Network Mental Health Breakfast as these men share their true story of hope, suicide survival and the impact one person can have on the life of another.
After the keynote speakers, join us for the breakout session “Why People Die By Suicide: Recent Developments” with speaker Thomas Joiner, Ph.D.
Joiner, the Robert O. Lawton Distinguished Professor of Psychology at Florida State University, is an academic psychologist and leading expert on suicide. He will discuss his studies on the nature, causes and management of suicidal behavior and related disorders.
Each year, the Mental Health Breakfast brings together mental health professionals, community and business leaders to raise awareness about the importance of mental healthcare. Proceeds from the event support the Dennis H. Jones Living Well Network, a resource to help individuals navigate depression, stress and other challenges of life.
Sponsorships for the 2020 event are available and feature excellent event amenities and recognition, including invitation to meet the speakers at a VIP reception, recognition on event promotional materials and signage, and event program ad placement.
