Camp BraveHearts is a free, family grief day camp to help children ages 6-16 cope with the death of a family member or friend.
This camp, which is hosted by Methodist Hospice, is a safe place where feelings of grief can be expressed without having to worry about the reactions of others. Trained professionals and volunteers help kids and their families explore issues related to grief, walking beside them as they take the steps needed to heal. By sharing their grief with others, children and adults can begin to let go.
Children ages 6-16 who have experienced the death of a close family member or friend within the past two years are eligible for Camp BraveHearts. A complete program is also available for the parents and caregivers of the children attending camp.
