Event Description:
The Biennial “Port of New Orleans Tour” presented by the Memphis World Trade Club will be from September 21st through 23rd (Fri-Sun) 2018.
This exciting and educational tour is developed especially for Mid-America exporters, importers, freight forwarders, steamship lines, and other related international companies and their employees. You do not have to be a member of the MWTC to participate.
The itinerary will include a tour of the Port of New Orleans container terminals and break-bulk facilities, viewing of steamship vessels in port, and a tour of the sea port commodity facilities. We also have gracious sponsors which have agreed to provide a wonderful New Orleans reception and dinner as they have in the past.
Participants will have free time to enjoy the sights and sounds of the Historic French Quarter and the surrounding area after program hours.
The MWTC group will travel by way of Motor Coach (bus) from Memphis to New Orleans on September 21st and stay in an up-scale Marriott Hotel near the heart of the French Quarter District. Returning to Memphis on September 23rd.

The deposit is $115 per person. This deposit is used to reserve seating and off set the cost of the motor coach and events. The deposit payment is required whether the bus travel is utilized or not. The hotel room rate is $120 plus tax per night based on double occupancy. Each party will be responsible for their hotel room charges upon check out. As usual the MWTC is holding a block of rooms for this program at the Marriott Hotel.

ITINERARY:
Friday-Sept. 21st (10:00AM) Leave Memphis on Coach/Bus . Arrive New Orleans at approximately 5:00 PM. More details to follow.
Hotel accommodations (2 nights) – Marriott Hotel at 555 Canal St. - the French Quarter
Saturday-Sept. 22nd (9:30AM – 2:00PM) Ocean port and ocean terminal facilities tour and luncheon.
Tour of New Orleans Port Headquraters.
Dinner to follow by sponsor.
Sunday-Sept. 23rd (12:00PM) depart New Orleans for Memphis (arrival 7:00PM).
